The new perception operation: “Hizmet-PKK Collaboration”

The Kobani demonstrations have shown the true colors of the rosy picture that was publicized as the “Peace Process”.

The PKK bitterly proved that they haven’t just idled away during the process. It is clear they have re-organized in the towns and are powerful enough to upset the public order.

The ruling party, on the other hand, condemned until recently those who, although supporting the Peace Process, criticized the PKK’s refusal to disarm, their unwillingness to have their armed elements leave the country, and the re-establishment of a KCK-style structure. Those critics were denounced as “traitors” working “against peace."

The conscientious minds should have done some soul-searching, and at least seen some of the mistakes committed.

But strangely, the preference is to engage in perception operations that rely on lies and slander instead of working on a fact-based strategy.

The “mud-slinging media” made up fake news and libel. And incredibly, the politicians started articulating those fabricated stories.

President Erdoğan made the following blood-freezing statement in Rize:

“Pennsylvania is behind this all. Again they stand behind the vandals, the terrorists…”

The fact is that the Hizmet is among the worst affected by the demonstrations.

The PKK-supporters mostly damaged schools, dorms and other institutions that belonged to the Hizmet.

Still, the mud-slinging media worked on fabricating new stories to bolster Erdoğan’s allegations.

Whereas many Hizmet institutions were damaged in the eastern provinces, it was claimed that the PKK strangely shied away from hurting the Hizmet and the argument was based on a bank branch in Esenyurt, Istanbul.

The bank had been pointlessly damaged, but the fake-news fabricators published a photo of it after it was hurriedly repaired.

The same had been the case in the attack where Bingöl’spolice chief Atalay Ürker was wounded and his deputy, Atıf Şahin, plus Commissioner Hüseyin Hatipoğlu were killed.

The mud-slinging media and some politicians virtually targeted the police, saying, “Those are the Parallel policemen who conducted the KCK operations.”

Talks on the wireless set revealed that the PKK’s military wing, the HPG gave instructions to start demonstrations.

The “mud-slinging media”, on the other hand, prefers to blame the Hizmet for the murder of the policemen whom they claim were members of the same Hizmet.

Moreover, the AKP has two times rejected a parliamentary investigation on the incident.

They have no trace of virtue left… Their slanders are like an insult to human reason.

The latest libel was about the incident where Non-commissioned Officer Necdet Aydoğdu was killed by PKK-supporters when shopping in Diyarbakır with his pregnant wife.

The newspaper Akşam argued the PKK received information about the officer from the Hizmet.

Just as all the other associates and partisans in the mud-slinging media, Akşam refrained from blaming the PKK and mindlessly slandered the Hizmet with no evidence whatsoever.

And when it turned out that the name list of the policemen –those policemen who were purged and targeted on grounds they were “Parallel”– were handed to the PKK terror organization by “ dark circles," they preferred to burytheir head in the ground.

Now, we need to say that even in the worst governed countries the decision-makers never let their officers victimized by terrorist organizations. This kind of behaviorcan only be possible in the absence of virtue and morality.

But why do the decision-makers and the mud-slinging media try to slander and create the impression of a union between the Hizmet movement and the PKK?

The insistence on libel that each time turn out to be plain lies demonstrates that it is all calculated.

They are the same ones who in the past fabricated stories that “They conducted the KCK operations”, “They leaked the Oslo negotiations”, “They are against the Peace Process."

Statements by the highest authorities reveal that all of them are lies and slander.

Just as it was back then, today they want to direct reactions against their politically risky moves to the Hizmet; they want the Hizmet to pay the price for the failures brought about by their miscalculations and lack of strategy.

But this nation and the world know the Hizmet movement. Just as they know the terrorist organization PKK.

They know that men of Service refrain from even hurting an ant, and that their sole effort in the face of distress is to “actively show patience,” read the Quran and pray.

On the other hand, looking at what is happening over the last one year, it is understood that those in power target the innocent, the mud-slinging media make up stories, clippings are turned into evidences and denunciations of conspiracies, prosecutors open investigations…

The turn of events since the Kobani demonstrations clearly show that calculated slanders will continue.

Don’t be surprised if you see reports sometime soon on the “collaboration of the Hizmet and the PKK," issued by the MİT and the Police Department, no matter how much they lack concrete information or evidence.

Based on the recent actions and the requirements of an “intelligence state”, one might easily argue that “Unaccredited news on how the Hizmet movement and the PKK are secretly negotiating has already started and it will be issued by intelligence groups in the form of black propaganda…”

Take a look at the headlines ordered by the centralizedsystem: we will see imaginary scenarios where even sci-fi movies will be pale in comparison.

The efforts to put the Hizmet and the PKK in the same basket are vain attempts to wrongfully frame the Hizmet as a terrorist organization despite lack of evidence.

The Hizmet movement is mentioned along with the socially illegitimate terrorist organization and plans are made to create an environment where the recent laws can be used against them both.

Don’t think that would be too much.

They themselves don’t believe in what they write or say.

But when the conscience is crippled and virtues are lost, slander becomes legitimized as it is now…

They only thing left to be said: you have no shame, do whatever you like!
