Why do Fethullah Gülen and the Gülen Movement lay such emphasis on collective effort in service-networks?
Within these networks of services people come to understand that the vast potential to make a change in the lives of others is far broader than their own actual individual capacity for action. Through the establishment of social relationships, people become open to the personal realization that an individual is limited and not even sufficient unto himself or herself. On the other hand, they have opportunities to compensate for their limitations in community service through the potential of the collective actor.
