The Hizmet Movement, Tyrants and the World

The Hizmet Movement, Tyrants and the World

Since new events and developments occurs in different ways, they play an important role in forcing us to prioritise our tasks. Hadiseler karşımıza farklı farklı formatta çıktığından dolayı, formatlar, yapmamız gerekli olan işleri belirleme mevzuunda önemli bir misyon edâ ediyorlar.
In fact, if all new things developed in a uniform manner, complacency and getting stuck in habits would remove all the pleasure from our job. Aslında zaten öyle olmasa, ülfetler ve ünsiyetler, yapacağınız şeylerin tadını-tuzunu alır götürür.
There must be constantly different scenes in different frames so that one can take pleasure from watching and derive different lessons with each changing scene. Tabloda sürekli değişiklikler olması lazım ki, insan, ciddî bir gönül inşirahı içinde, o tabloyu -orada farklı kareler gelip-geçiyor- temâşa etsin, zevkle seyretsin onları, onlardan yeni yeni manalar çıkarsın.
Now, the events we are facing and experiencing occur in different ways. Şimdi, hâdiseler çok farklı şekilde cereyan ediyor.
As a result, we must adopt different approaches.
We should not neglect this issue. O mevzuda kusur etmemek lazım.
Each event is a Divine blessing of a different manner and frequency; we must see them all as blessings. Her birisi, Cenâb-ı Hakk'ın değişik tecelli dalga boyunda ayrı bir lütfudur; onları birer lütuf gibi görmek lazım.
Whatever it may be, whether apparently good or bad, we must say 'All are blessings of God'. Kimden gelirse gelsin; Celâlî de olsa, Cemâlî de olsa, "Hepsi Cenâb-ı Hakk'ın birer lütfudur" demek lazım.
We must welcome it. Öpüp başımıza koymamız lazım.
In a way, God Almighty has tested us. Cenâb-ı Hak, bir yönüyle bizi imtihan etti.
He afflicted us with the tyranny of some oppressors. Bir kısım zalimleri musallat etti size.
Perhaps those oppressors thought that they can make us change our ways or perhaps they accommodated delusional thoughts such as 'These people will be tire of their initiatives and they would keep quiet and go back to their caves!' Belki çizginizde kaymalara sebebiyet vereceği düşüncesiyle, yani, "Bunlar, yaptıkları şeylerden vazgeçerler, bıkarlar, usanırlar, inlerine çekilirler; kuyruklarını kısar, inlerine çekilirler" falan gibi, kendilerini aldatan vehimlere kapıldılar onlar.
In each era, from Amenophis to Ramses, Lenin to Stalin, Saddam to Qaddafi, all dictators and tyrants harnessed such thoughts but, in the end, they were all delusional, they brought their own ends. Her dönemde Amnofis'ten Ramses'e kadar, ondan Lenin'e kadar, Stalin'e kadar, Saddam'a kadar, Kazzâfî'ye kadar bütün diktatörler, tiranlar, hep aynı şeyi yapmışlardır; fakat sonunda aldanan, kendileri olmuştur; onların hepsi.
They were involved in such oppression and tyranny. Öyle bir zulüm yaptılar.
You, in contrast, spread across the globe. Siz de (onların beklentilerinin aksine dünyaya açıldınız.).
That is the expression they use, that is how they think of you. You do not live in hidden caves. Onların tabiri, onların mülahazası öyle; sizinki "in" değil.
You have your eyes set on observing His Beauty and Perfectness, on being pleased with Him and God being pleased with you, and mansions in Paradise. Siz, Cennet'in saraylarına/köşklerine müteveccih yürüyorsunuz; hedefinizde "Rıza ve Rıdvan" var, Cenâb-ı Hakk'ın bâ-kemâlini müşâhede etme var;
'Muslims will see Him in pure form. "Mü'minler, O'nu keyfiyetsiz ve kemmiyetsiz olarak görürler.
No analogy can be brought to explain this. Buna bir misal de getirilemez.
When they see Him, they forget all the blessings of Paradise. O'nu gördükleri zaman da bütün Cennet nimetlerini unuturlar.
May frustration be upon those Mutazilites who claim, 'God cannot be seen.' 'Allah görülmez' diyen Ehl-i İ'tizâl'e hüsran olsun."
Since Mutazilites deny that God can be seen, the author of Bad' al-Amali says, 'Woe to you'. Ehl-i İ'tizâl, Cenâb-ı Hakk'ın rü'yetini inkâr ettiklerinden dolayı, Bed'ü'l-Emâlî sahibi "Yazık olsun size" diyor; bağışlayın, "Yuf olsun size" diyor.
Yes, you are walking towards such a blessing, that is, witnessing His Beauty and Perfection. Evet, siz, Cenâb-ı Hakk'ın Cemâl-i bâ-kemâlini müşahede etme gibi bir nimete yürüyorsunuz.
According to Bediüzzaman, 'A happy life of 1,000 years in this world cannot be compared to an hour of life in Paradise, and 1,000 years of life in Paradise cannot be compared to an hour's vision of His Countenance of utmost beauty.' Hazreti Pîr'in ifadesine göre, "Dünyanın bin sene mesûdâne hayatı, bir saat hayatına mukabil gelmeyen Cennet hayatının ve o Cennet hayatının dahi bin senesi, bir saat rü'yet-i cemaline mukabil gelmeyen bir Cemil-i Zülcelal'in daire-i rahmetine ve mertebe-i huzuruna gidiyorsunuz."
There are billions of stars in these systems and galaxies. Systems as complex as the solar system...
He manages all of them with perfection. You do not see a single error or fault.
They are all beautiful.  Hepsinin çehresine ayrı bir güzellik serpiştirilmiş.
On that day, when God shows His Beauty and Perfection, people are going to faint.  Bütün bunların hepsi, Zât-ı Ecell u A'lâ'da mevcut; o Cemâl-i bâ-kemâlini insanlara gösterdikleri zaman, bayılacak o insanlar.
People who are candidates of such things will definitely not be concerned with the transient difficulties they face in this world.
Therefore, tyrants have engaged in oppression, but these have brought up so many opportunities for you to express yourselves and the Hizmet Movement.
This never happened before. Böylesi hiç olmamıştı.
Because right now, you are being oppressed, getting sacked, imprisoned, banished, you lock yourselves in your own houses, you are on the run, you are forced to flee your country, and sometimes you have to leave your family behind. Çünkü şimdi mazlumiyeti, ma'zuliyeti (vazifeden azledilmeyi), içeriye atılmayı, belki sürgün edilmeyi, eve kapanmayı, gaybubet etmeyi, yurdunu-yuvanı terk etmeyi, bazen evlâd u ıyâlini kaybetmeyi yaşıyorsunuz.
When all these events come down on you like a heavy rainfall, you turn to God in a quite different manner and say, 'Count all these towards my wellbeing in the Hereafter'. I believe if there is one consolation that would put out the fire and anguish inside you, it is this thought.
'Don't worry, this world is transient.' "Ne olacak, boş ver, dünya gelip-geçici."
All the people who considered themselves immortal passed away, just as they came.
Indeed, the world was then left to those who came after them. Evet, o dünya, onlardan sonrakilerine kaldı.
This is the nature of this world. Bu dünya, böyle bir şey.
Say, 'The world is temporary, no one stays here, "Dünya geçicidir, burada kalınmaz
No matter how much you have, you will not be satisfied, Ne kadar mal olsa, murad alınmaz
Do not be heedless, there is no return Gafil olma sakın, geri dönülmez
Go on world, go on, desolation is at the end Yürü dünya yürü, sonun virandır
The rescue, from now is the end of days' and move towards your goals, towards seeing God, towards God's contentment, towards the Noble Spirit of the Master of Humankind, towards the world of the Respected Companions, towards the world of the great Prophets. Meded, bundan sonra ahir zamandır" diyeceksin ve yürüyeceksin hedefine doğru, Rü'yet'e doğru, Rıdvan'a doğru, Hazreti Rûh-u Seyyidi'l-Enâm'ın iklimine doğru, Sahabe-i kirâm'ın dünyasına doğru, Enbiyâ-i ızâmın dünyasına doğru.
What the oppressors have done to you has helped you earn all these fortunes. Onların yaptıkları şeyler, sana, bunu kazandırmıştır.
However, there are many different perspectives to consider here as well.
Think about the 'supposed believers' from your homeland. Düşünün kendi ülkenizde, inanmış gibi görünen insanları.
I particularly use this phrase: Betahsis bu tabiri kullanıyorum:
'People who seem to be believers.' "İnanmış gibi görünen insanlar."
Think about those who act as though they are Muslim and claim to be doing everything in the name of their faith, using the Islamic arguments for their own worldly comfort and reign.
On the other hand, you find Jon Pahl writing a book.
He has thoroughly investigated your world. Didik didik etmiş sizin dünyanızı.
He has been to your villages, your cities, and your gravesites, and inferred new meanings from various things to write a book from it.
He did not come with expectations from you. Hiçbir beklentiye de girmemiş.
The world needed such a book; and through the book, he had the opportunity to express his ideas in various places, platforms, and environments; he talked about you everywhere as if he was your voice, your breath. Dünya, ona, o kitaba tâlip olmuş; değişik yerlerde ona, o kitap vasıtasıyla kendini ifade etme imkânı, zemini, ortamı hazırlamış; her yerde sizin sesiniz, soluğunuz gibi sizi anlatmış.
You must have listened to him, he explains things with such enthusiasm that makes you think, 'How has a person so well spoken not emerged from us until today?'
He travelled to different corners of the world, answering such questions.
For instance, 'Why is this person alone? (Why has he not married and had a family?)' Mesela; "Niye bu adam, yalnızdır." (Neden evlenip evlâd u ıyâle karışmadı?) filan.
In a matter where you doubted things, he calms and alleviates those doubts with logical and genuine analysis.
'The reason being: "Yahu şundan dolayı:
If a person is devoted to something, essentially to not be caught up in disorder, stray from course and lose concentration.
So, there could be the uniqueness of loneliness in this matter.' By saying this, he defended you wholeheartedly as if you were being accused of similar things and had to defend yourself.
Those who consider the book will see this. Hani kitaba bakanlar, göreceklerdir bunu.
Another name, Anwar Alam; he is also a blessed person.
He had new suggestions.
He seems to want to repeat things that have been said and done until today: Herhalde bugüne kadar denip edilen şeylerin tekrarını istiyor:
If you could repeat once more to yourselves, 'I have never changed my thoughts and feelings about this matter; they remain the same.'
For example: If I say, 'democracy', I think we could say, 'It is the most important form of governance over a people composed of varying elements. Mesela "Demokrasi" dedimse ben, "Gayr-ı mütecânis (farklı farklı unsurlardan oluşan) bir toplumda en önemli idare şekli odur herhalde.
What others believe about this matter is not of concern.' Başkalarının o mevzuda diyeceği/edeceği şeylere de kulak asmamak lazım" falan.
He says: Diyor ki:
'If you could repeat all of this once again for the sake of emphasis. "Yeniden, bunları bir kere daha tekrar etmek suretiyle vurgulasanız.
With this renewal, I will take this matter to a country as large as India and make my voice heard.
I have come into contact with such people that are the equivalent of hundreds and thousands of people.' Bazı kimseler ile temas ettim ki, bunlar, binlerce, yüz binlerce insana tekâbül ediyor; binlerce yüz binlerce insana tekabül ediyor."
People as such with much gratitude are in all parts of the world preparing studies and research about the movement and relating matters. Bunun gibi kadirşinas insanlar, dünyanın her yerinde, doktora tezleri hazırlıyorlar, Hareket ile alakalı, şununla alakalı, bununla alakalı.
In this manner, this is an advantage for you all.
If you had not underwent such injustice, obliteration, and expulsion... Eğer böyle bir şeye maruz kalmasaydınız, mağduriyete, mahkûmiyete, ma'zûliyete.
Yes, I am using Arabic words: Evet, Arapça tabirler kullanıyorum:
Expulsion referring to the expulsion from duties. Ma'zuliyet demek, vazifeden azledilme demek.
They expelled so many people. Bilmem ne kadar insanı azlettiler.
Abandoned is used often in Turkish literature though it is an Arabic word (mahjur).
Sometimes, it refers to 'the desolated beloved one.' "Yüzüne bakılmamış, âşıklar-mâşuklar" filan demektir.
The type of situations where he did not look upon her and she did not look at him.
These words that I use may seem strange to some but that is not a worry. These are the ingredients of our literature. Kullandığım bu kelimeler bazılarınıza belki garip gelebilir de mahzuru yok; bize ait, bizim dünyamızın, edebiyatımızın malzemeleridir bunlar.
Indeed, those words turn into ballads like Saadi Shirazi, like Firdawsi. Evet, onlar birer destan kesiyorlar; Sa'di Şirâzî gibi, Firdevsî gibi destan kesiyorlar.
They cast a spell with their rhetoric and discernment and with this bring to light the matter of 'you' to the whole world.
From this perspective, I think it is the words of Namık Kemal: O açıdan da hani -zannediyorum Namık Kemal'indir bu-
'Do not think the glory of our service will be affected because it is held in contempt "Hakir düştüyse Hizmet, şânına noksan gelir sanma
A gemstone falling to the ground does not diminish its worth.' Yere düşmekle cevher, sâkıt olmaz kadr ü kıymetten" diyor.
He talks about government, I think he is talking about the Sublime Islamic State of the Ottomans at that time, and those who look critically at it. O "devlet" diyor, herhalde o gün Devlet-i Aliyye-i İslâmiye'ye hor bakanlara karşı o türlü bir müdafaası oluyor.
For you, 'Hizmet' (Service) is important today as well. Bugün sizin için de "Hizmet" önemlidir.
Others perceive this 'Hizmet' phrase with appreciation.
'The master of a people is actually their servant'. "Kavmin efendisi esasen, hizmetkarıdır onun."
One could be a president, a leader, but if they are serving their people, they are doing the right thing. Efendim, devlet başkanı bile olsa, kavmine, milletine hizmet ediyorsa, işte o; doğru odur, o meselenin doğrusu odur.
So, in different places across the globe, people have heard of the term 'Hizmet', of the idea of service, and have seen it as nothing else but service to humanity.
People like Jon Pahl and Anwar Alam, and others in different parts of the world.
One of our friends once said that up to 40 dissertations have been prepared on this subject.
As other doors are closing, God has allowed for different doors, different opportunities to appear in front of you.
The world is speaking about you, the whole world. Bütün dünya bugün sizden bahsediyor, bütün dünya.
As you know, our noble Prophet's sublime purpose and ultimate goal is: Eee Efendimiz'in (sallallâhu aleyhi ve sellem) mübarek gâye-i hayali, "Mefkûre-i Ulviye"si esasen:
His name reaching everywhere the sun rises and sets. "Benim adım, Güneş'in doğup-battığı her yere ulaşacaktır bir gün" diyor.
I do not think there is a place left that has not heard of the name of our noble Prophet. Zannediyorum Efendimiz'in adının ulaşmadığı bir yer kalmamış gibi.
Indeed... Evet.
But one day, there will be acceptance of this.
As you are aware, there is such respect and admiration for his name in different parts of the world.
If you look across the globe with a lens, when you analyse our situation, if you consider Turkey as an example, the events there will turn one's stomach. Bütün o âlemi, hepsini birer mercek yaparak, hâdiselere baktığınız zaman, sadece Türkiye'deki genel durum, midenizi bulandırır sizin.
That is also good, currently we will not go there, we will go to different parts of the world, with God's permission and grace, and let us see what happens.
Sir, Efendim,
'What elevates morality is neither knowledge nor conscience, "Ne irfandır veren ahlaka yükseklik ne vicdandır
The sense of virtue arises from the fear of God.' Fazilet hissi insanlarda, Allah korkusundandır."
You are to announce this to the whole world. Bütün dünyaya bunu duyuralım.
Ponder upon it. Düşünün.
Yesterday, we would look down at them, belittle them. Dün kendilerine tepeden bakıyor, böyle hor görüyorduk.
At one time, we were saying it is 'Ottoman land'. Belli bir dönemde "Osmanlı vesayeti" falan diyorduk.
However, they are our brothers and sisters. Oysaki bizim kardeşimiz onlar.
Yesterday, Greece was together with you. Dün sizinle beraber, el ele, omuz omuza, diz dize; Yunanistan.
With their aid, you were able to travel over the sea, connect with other nations, with God's permission and grace.
You may have at one time perceived them as enemies, as threats.
Mistakes may have been made on both sides. Yanlışlıklara girilmiş olabilir.
New events allow for different perceptions. These events allow for them to view us differently and us them. Fakat hadiseler, farklı formatlar istiyor; farklı formatlar karşınıza çıkınca, bugün onlar size farklı türlü bakıyor, siz de onlara farklı türlü bakıyorsunuz.
Your siblings now are portraying a new fraternity.
Think of their economic situation... Bakın, ekonomik durumları ne kadardır o insanların.
They are not like the USA, the UK or Germany. Bir Amerika değildir o, bir İngiltere değildir, bir Almanya değildir.
However, they have embraced thousands upon thousands of people.
Even if they do not declare it.  Âdeta, ağızlarıyla söylemeseler bile.
They have not made others feel indebted; they have said that they have acted in this way as it was their responsibility as humans. Söyleyip minnet sayılabilecek yöntemlere/yollara da sapmadılar; fakat "Yaptığımız şey bizim, insanca bir şey, hümanizmin gereği esasen, insan olmanın gereği" dediler.
They have embraced thousands, hundreds of thousands of people, and allowed them to travel to other locations in the world.  Belki binlerce, yüzbinlerce insanı bağırlarına bastılar; ülkelerinde değişik limanlar, rıhtımlar, alanlar oluşturdular; dünyanın değişik yerlerine seyahat imkânı verdiler onlara.
This is another win on your part.
Greece is your sibling. The UK is your sibling. France, Germany, Holland, and the USA... Perhaps many of you were not even familiar with the various states in the USA.  Yunanistan, kardeşiniz; İngiltere, kardeşiniz; Almanya, kardeşiniz; Fransa, kardeşiniz; Hollanda, kardeşiniz; yeni dünya Amerika, belki çoğumuz Türkiye'de Amerika'nın değişik eyaletlerini bile bilmezdiniz ama.
Many people across the world in different places... Şimdi dünyanın değişik yerlerinde daha başkaları da.
These people have affection for you and have a strong stance against those who have enmity towards you.
They say, 'No, we do not believe what you say. "Hayır" diyorlar, "Sizin dediğinize inanmıyorum ben.
You are not speaking truth; your actions are not right; you are oppressive and cruel'.  Doğru söylemiyorsunuz, doğru yapmıyorsunuz; zulmediyorsunuz, birilerini gadre uğratıyorsunuz" diyorlar.
You can count other countries here, too.  Başka ülkeleri de sayabilirsiniz burada.
Places in Africa, including South Africa.
You may be in contact with friends in other countries, enquiring if they are suffering at all.
You ask if they are being pressured or persecuted. Var mı musallat olan bir muzır?" "Var" diyorlar.
When you ask who is doing this. "Kim?" diyorsunuz.
They may respond: 'The embassies, consulates, diplomats of your country.' Diyorlar ki, "Bizim ülkenin elçileri, konsolosları, yabancı misyon şefleri.
They keep pushing for the closure of educational institutions, saying they are unnecessary.  Gelip gelip 'Kapatın bu okulları, bu eğitim müesseselerini; bunlara lüzum yok.
They promise them many things.  Biz size neler neler yaparız' falan diyorlar."
Yes, they promise them many things.  Çok doğru, onlara neler ve neler yapıyorlar.
They commit unimaginable malicious acts.  Akla hayale gelmedik şirretlikler yapıyorlar.
Yes, these occur.  Evet, vaka.
In some places, limited places, perhaps less than 10% of the total, they did close the schools following the words of these envoys.  Vakıa bazı yerler, çok az yer, belki onda biri bile değil; bunlar, yalancıların yalanına kanarak esasen, okulları kapattılar; doğru.
But they are deeply regretful because they are unable to reverse their actions.
A bureaucrat or politician cannot easily say, 'Yes, I made a mistake, and I am now backtracking'.
Let me add a footnote. Certain countries such as Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Sudan, Somalia, and Senegal were once part of the Ottoman dominion.
At some point in time, they looked like they were the grandchildren of the Ottomans and went to close the schools there.
So, when they re-open them, people will say, 'You closed them yesterday, today you are re-opening them; what is your problem?' Ee birdenbire yeniden açarlarsa, "Dün kapattınız, bugün açıyorsunuz; yahu nedir bu sizin derdiniz" falan derler.
It is so difficult for important people to change their minds; they deem it to be disreputable, mindlessness and tactlessness.
But one day will come when the genuine state of others' affairs will come to the fore and they will say, 'We were deceived.'
They will say, 'We were deceived'; they will then take a step back, with God's permission and grace, and will take ownership of the mission through different means.
We are always waiting for this.  Bekliyoruz onu hep.
Every era has the obstinate ones and that has always been the conduct of dictators, tyrants, and pharaohs. Her devirde mütemerritlerin, diktatörlerin, tiranların, firavunların tavrı böyle olmuştur.
In the face of logic, they have never given in. Onlar, hiçbir zaman makul karşısında pes etmemiş, dize gelmemişlerdir.
They, forgive me, lived disgracefully, ended their lives miserably and passed away; they left an atrocious example for those who followed them.
So will be the fate of others too; do not have any doubts about it. Ee başkalarının akıbeti de odur, hiç tereddüdünüz olmasın.
Yes, they can extend that horrid day; like they can try to extend the day from the darkness of the night by using various arguments. Evet, uzatabilirler o meş'ûm günü; yani, geceden karanlık gündüzü uzatabilirler; kendilerince değişik argümanları kullanabilirler.
But God Almighty through opening thousands of doors will overcome any of their efforts. Fakat Allah (celle celâluhu) mü'minlere açtığı binlerce kapı ile, onların da hakkından gelir.
Saddam went away, Ghaddafi, Julius Cesar, Amenophis, and Ramses did, too.
They will all go, one worse than the other.
Do not doubt this. Tereddüdünüz olmasın.
You may ask with what right are you saying this? Ne hakla söylüyorsun bunu?
Due to the Divine Tradition... Âdet-i İlahiyeye binâen.
He will give them time but will make them suffer as He takes their souls.  Fırsat verir, fakat sonra canlarını inlete inlete alır.
Absolute Justice. Âdil-i Mutlak.
The Ultimate Truth and Ever-Constant. Hak.
Mehmet Akif states so eloquently, in relation to the chapter Al-Asr: Âkif ne güzel söylüyor, hani "Ve'l-Asr" suresiyle alakalı:
'The Creator has infinite Names, starting with The Ultimate Truth and Ever-Constant, "Hâlık'ın nâ-mütenâhi adı var, en başı Hak."
Of course, I have something to add here. Tabii benim burada bir şerhim var.
The Ultimate Truth and Ever-Constant is not God Almighty's main Name. "Hak", Cenâb-ı Hakk'ın en baş ismi değil esasen.
The Name of His Divine Essence, Allah, comes first; then The All-Compassionate, The All-Merciful, The All-Living, The Self-Subsisting. İsm-i Zât olan, Lafz-ı Celâle, en baş; ondan sonra da "er-Rahman", "er-Rahîm", "Hay", "Kayyûm".
That is why the measure is broken down a little.  Onun için vezin bozuluyor biraz.
'The Creator has infinite Names, starting with The Ultimate Truth and Ever-Constant, "Hâlık'ın nâ-mütenâhi adı var, biri de Hak,
For a servant, it is such a glorious thing to hold and raise justice.
The Respected Companions used to recite this chapter when they were departing from each other, Hani Ashâb-ı kiram "Ayrılalım" derken,
They would be insistent on reading it, why? Mutlaka "Sûre-i Ve'l-Asr"ı okurmuş, neden?
Because there is the secret of salvation in this great chapter. Çünkü meknûn o büyük sûrede esrâr-ı felâh,
First comes true faith and then righteousness, Başta iman-ı hakiki geliyor, sonra salah,
Then the truth, followed by constancy. Sonra hak, sonra sebat.
This is the meaning of humankind. İşte kuzum insanlık,
When these four come together and unite, there will be no downfall for you." Bu dördü birleşti mi, yoktur sana izmihlal artık."
When these four come together and unite, there will be no downfall for you: Bu dördü birleşti mi, yoktur sana izmihlal artık:
Perfect faith, righteous deed, active patience, and fairness... İman-ı kâmil, amel-i sâlih, sabır (aktif sabır), hakperestlik.
When these come together, with God's permission and grace, whoever confronts you will give up and say, 'God is sufficient for us; the rest is empty desire.'
Yes, this is a proverb of ours: Evet, bu da atasözümüzdür bizim:
God is sufficient for us; the rest is empty desire. "Allah bes, bâkî heves."
Yes, we were discussing Greece. Evet, Yunanistan'dan bahsediyorduk.
Our Greek brothers. Yunan kardeşlerimiz bizim.
We are open to call everybody brother; but there are some who are so sickening, just as you are about to say, 'brot...' you feel like vomiting, and you cannot pronounce the whole word. Herkese kardeş demeye teşne/hazır bulunuyoruz; fakat bazıları öyle mide bulandırıyor ki, tam böyle, "kar" diyeceğin zaman birdenbire bir istifrağ (kusma hissi) geliyor, diyemiyorsun; "ka" da kalıyorsun.
The first letters of this word (qa) mean "pause" in Arabic here. Ee zaten "ka" vakıf manasına gelir, "dur" demektir artık burada.
Is it not so? Öyle değil mi?
It is a sign indicating the absence of vowels. Cezim alametidir.
'Other than the states of disbelief and deviation, we express our praise and glorification for every state.' "Küfür ve dalaletten başka, her hale hamd ü senâ olsun."
I admire the belief, ambition, exertion, zeal, and many other amazing qualities that my brothers and sisters have. Ben, sizdeki imana, azme, cehde, gayrete -tabii bütün kardeşlerimdeki şeylere- hayranım esasen.
I believe wholeheartedly that with such belief, determination, and perseverance, they will definitely get very far.
With God Almighty's grace, my brothers and sisters will achieve what they have set as their grand purpose of life; they will rise like turtledoves, flapping their wings towards the skies. Havayı ben bulandırmasam inşâallahu teâlâ, çok yakın bir gelecekte, Cenâb-ı Hakk'ın inayetiyle, onlar gâye-i hayal haline getirdikleri ufka ulaşacaklar; üveyikler gibi o semalarda kanat çırpıp duracaklar.
Another quotation: Bu da diyor ki:
'It always felt weary for us to open our arms to people "İnsanlara el açmak, hep girân geldi bize
For the one who faces The Ultimate Truth and Ever-Constant, such a weariness is torment. Mihrabı Hak olana, bu türden girân azap.
Never have we tasted a conditional favour from anyone Tatmadık hiç kimseden minnet kokan bir ihsan
For a person, whose conscience is free, conditional favours are torment.' Vicdanı hür olana, minnetli ihsan, azap."
We never felt indebted to anyone other than God. Allah'tan başkasına karşı kendimizi hiçbir zaman borçlu hissetmedik.
We never said, 'I serve such-and-such individual'. "Falanın, filanın kuluyuz" demedik.
We never associated partners with God or fell into disbelief by saying 'It was as though God Himself had come' while looking at mere mortals. O zavallılar gelirken, "Allah geliyor gibi" diyerek esasen şirke, küfre girmedik.
Yes, this is what one clodhopper really said. Evet, hele bir tane andavallı.
Do I offend you by using such a term? Böyle bu çirkin kelimeleri kullanıyorum, sizi rahatsız ediyor mu?
Yes, 'Look at all that we did, all that we achieved.' Evet, "Bak neler yaptık, neler yaptık."
Yes, in fact, you have done so much! Ee doğru, neler yaptınız, neler.
You have leeched on the livelihood of the people; you have brought misery to so many. Milletin canına okudunuz, ciğerine okudunuz.
Now they think and speak of all that they have done as having done something for the good of people.
Please forgive me. I ask forgiveness from God.
Even when I try to convey the cursed nature of the cursed, I fear that I may become discourteous towards the noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Mel'ûnun mel'ûniyetini ifade eden şeyleri söylerken bile O'na (sallallâhu aleyhi ve sellem) karşı saygısızlık olur diye ürperiyorum ben.
That poor individual, being incapable of understanding the command of 'repentance', wrongfully interpreted that 'He (peace and blessings be upon him) became prideful after conquering Mecca and committed a sin, which resulted in God Almighty commanding him to repent.'
What kind of insolence is this! Bu ne küstahlıktır.
May God protect us from it! Hafizanallah.
I doubt that even Abu Jahl had said such a thing. Zannediyorum Ebu Cehil bile dememiştir böyle bir şey.
He did not believe in our noble Prophet, yet even Abu Jahl did not utter such a thing.
You, however, embrace this man and make him a minister; and then watch the suffering, wailing, and groaning.
'O God Almighty, we beg You to ascend our faith and closeness to You; we ask you to set our reliance on the levels of submission and commitment, and even the horizons of trust and confidence in You.  "Allah'ım ilmimizi, imanımızı ve yakînimizi ziyadeleştirmeni diliyor; tevekkülümüzü teslim ve tefviz zirvelerine, hatta sika ve itminan ufkuna yükseltmeni talep ediyoruz.
O the most Gracious, the One with glory and kindness!' Ey Erhamerrâhimîn, ey Celâl ve ikram sahibi, Zü'l-celali ve'l-İkram."
Do not condemn us to being without You. Bizi Sensizliğe mahkûm etme Allah'ım.
Do not condemn us to being without You. Bizi Sensizliğe mahkûm etme Allah'ım.
'Our Lord, we trust in You, we belong to You and we will return to You. "Rabbimiz, sana güvendik, sana yöneldik ve sonunda sana döneceğiz.
God is sufficient for us, Allah bize yeter.
and how excellent a Guardian He is! O ne güzel vekildir.
God is sufficient for us, Allah bize yeter.
and how excellent a Guardian He is! O ne güzel vekildir.
How excellent a Guardian and an Owner He is; how excellent a Helper.
O God, we take refuge in Your forgiveness. Ey Rabbimiz, affına sığındık.
To You is the homecoming. Dönüş sanadır.
Accept our prayers, O the sole Guardian for the ones who are restricted, the true Helper for all that hope for help.' Dualarımızı kabul buyur, ey darda kalan herkesin yegâne sığınağı, medet dileyen her kulun gerçek yardımcısı."
Excuse me. Hakkınızı helal edin.
